The bulbs we’re after are 36-38+ cm in circumference — typically only 2% of all the Amaryllis bulbs sold in the world are this size! It takes growers several years to create bulbs this big, which is why they’re so hard to find and of course, they’re a bit more expensive. But in my mind, the incredible show is worth it. These great big bulbs produce more flower stems and more flowers per stem.
